5 reasons to use Webnode
There are countless reasons to use Webnode. Here are my top 5 in no particular order.
1. It's a CMS
A CMS or Content Management System is the way to manage your website. The old way of creating pages on your computer and uploading them to your server is no longer practical for most websites that require constant updating to keep their visitors coming back for more. On the internet "content is king". We've all been to websites that look terrible but have the content that we're looking for. I'm not saying that your webiste should look terrible, but that your primary focus should be on your content and not on your colour scheme. By using a "Content management system" like webnode you can quickly manage all aspects of your content without having to worry too much about the design of your site. You can also change the design of your site at any time without affecting the existing content. Too many people waste time "designing" their website and not enough time working on their content. For this site I have deliberately not changed the standard template that I chose when I set up the site to show that you can leave the design to webnode and get on with creating your content and communicating with your visitors.
2. Contact forms, Statistics, Polls.. They're all there.
Once your site is up and running and you've sorted out your content you you may want to add some extra functionality to allow your visitors to contact you easily or track how many visitors you have. Webnode have thought about all these things already and built them into their system, so all you have to do is press a button to use them.
3. No Adverts
The're are a million and one sites that provide free hosting and you will find that most of them will put a huge advert next to your content Webnode only advertise themselves discreetly at the bottom of the page. You can remove this by upgrading to a Premium service.
4. Anyone can use Webnode
Webnode have struck a perfect balance between providing a wealth of features and an intuitive interface that anyone can use. Anyone can get their site up and running with all the basics without any knowledge of web design or HTML. It also has functionality that will impress the experienced web designers.
You may not agree fully with that statement. You may be saying "I don't know how to do x" or "I don't know what y is for". I see it like any software, take your word processor, you know how to do what you need to do. There is a lot of functionality that you never use, not because you don't know how to use it, but because you're maybe not familiar with the concept. Imagine that you had never used the "header" and "footer" function in your word processor. You would only find out about it if you needed to put a heading at the top of every page or you wanted to put a page number at the bottom. All the functionality solves a particular problem, so if your not familiar with the problem then you may not immediately understand the solution. Webnode is just like you word processor, you should be able to do all the things that you need to do, but there will be things that you won't understand until you need them.
5. Update your site from anywhere
Because the Webnode system is entirely online, you can edit your site from any computer and even from your mobile phone. No need to rush back to your computer to make changes and your site is safe should anything happen to your computer.
